"How much will the service cost ?" - This is a very important question for most clients looking for legal advice . The following explains our fee structure:
In Germany the payment of a lawyer is regulated by law through the Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz (RVG).
In the area of litigation the RVG is obligatory and provides a range of fees which are subject to the amount in dispute, the scope of the lawyer's activity and the relevance of the litigation for the client. The Lawyer is not allowed to charge less than these obligatory fees. An agreement of a higher fee is possible.
A first consultation will cost a maximum fee of EUR 180,-- (plus VAT).
In out-of-court matters fees may be individually negotiated and will normally be based on an hourly rate. Ask for our hourly rate.
Fees for tax advice are regulated by the "Steuerberatergebührenverordnung", an obligatory law in Germany similar to the RVG. The fees are subject to the scope and the degree of difficulty involved in the tax matter.
The main basis for charging is the total amount of income or revenue. The expected tax refund is not the basis of the fee.
It is also possible to agree fees on an hourly basis or in a lump sum. Ask for a concrete offer. The more we know about your case the more concrete can a offer be.
When we know for exemple that you are employed and earn 25.000,- Euro, your husband is a freelancer with a small cash base accounting to do and you have three kids, aged under 18 with no own income and you have two appartments that are rentet out - then we can make you a concrete offer. So provide us with some details.
